The first reel to receive the Titanium Line Roller is a ZX-27 built in 2014 and owned by Capt. Peter Douma of Windward Outfitters, Montauk (shown). After fighting a 100" Bluefin Tuna for 3+ hours, on top of 30+ tuna in a few weeks in 2024, Capt. Douma recently added a bailed rotor to his original bail-less setup for the big game. He will keep his bail-less rotor and swap it out for his surfcasting nights.
